A stone-and-shingle estate in one of Newport’s most coveted private enclaves has sold for $8,100,000, making it the second-highest sale in the city and the third-highest statewide so far in 2026, according to data from the Multiple Listing Service.
The property, located at 10 Ocean Lawn Lane, was listed by Joseph Costa, a sales associate with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. The buyers were represented by Kara Malkovich and Marie Samuels of Lila Delman Compass.
Completed in 2017 by Horan Building Company, the home sits within the private Ocean Lawn enclave — a gated community once part of the historic Firestone Estate. Positioned on nearly three acres near Cliff Walk, Bellevue Avenue and downtown Newport, the property offers what its listing agents described as a turnkey coastal retreat.
The home’s open, sun-filled interiors feature formal living spaces and a chef’s kitchen appointed with Rhino marble countertops and high-end appliances. A seamless transition to the outdoors includes a bluestone patio, heated pool and hot tub. Inside, a main-level primary suite is joined by seven additional bedrooms, along with a theater, gym and game room.
“Representing the sale of 10 Ocean Lawn Lane in Newport was truly an honor,” Costa said. “This exceptional property embodies the elegance, coastal beauty, and timeless appeal that make Newport one of the most sought-after markets in the world.”
The sale adds to a strong start to the year for the luxury real estate market in Rhode Island, with two of the state’s top three transactions occurring in Newport.
