Today (April 16), the Heritage Restaurant Group announced that it had officially completed its acquisition of Caleb & Broad.

The transaction, previously announced earlier this year, has now closed.

“We’re excited to officially welcome Caleb & Broad into our family of restaurants,” said Michael Anderson, spokesperson for The Heritage Restaurant Group. “The integration process has begun, and guests can expect the same high-quality dining experience they’ve come to love, with some exciting enhancements planned for the future.”

Rich Willis, who founded Caleb & Broad, has officially joined the Heritage Restaurant Group in a corporate capacity.

In this new role, Heritage Restaurant Group says that Willis will leverage his insights and organizational talents across the Heritage platform, contributing to current brands and future acquisitions.

“After ten wonderful years with Caleb & Broad, I’m thrilled not only to see the restaurant enter this new chapter but also to join the Heritage team,” said Willis. “This opportunity allows me to bring my experience and vision to a broader portfolio of restaurants while ensuring that Caleb & Broad continues to thrive.”

The Heritage Restaurant Group has confirmed that current staff will remain in place, ensuring continuity for regular patrons. While honoring the restaurant’s established identity, Heritage says that it plans to implement operational enhancements and explore menu innovations in the coming months.

The Heritage Restaurant Group’s portfolio of restaurants, and businesses through Heritage Hotel Group and Audrain Hospitality, now includes A Mano Pizza & Gelato, Audrain Automobile Museum, Audrain Motorsports Clubhouse, Audrain Park Place, Brick Alley Pub, Caleb & Broad, Cluck House, Cluck Truck, Copper Club, Easton’s Beach Concessions, Flo’s Clam Shack, Hilltop Inn, La Costa Lobster Rolls and Tacos, La Forge Casino Restaurant, Newport Craft Brewing, Newport Lobster Company, Old Canteen, Olneyville New York System, The Red Parrot, The Reef, Vanderbilt hotel, Wally’s Wieners, and Wiener Wagon.
