Newport Sings will present its annual Winter Concert on Sunday, December 15 at 4:00 p.m.
The concert will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church, 200 Turner Road, Middletown.
Nearly 100 singers from three of Newport Sings’ groups will perform: the Newport County Youth Chorus Prep Chorus (grades 1-6), the Aquidneck Singers, a multigenerational women’s chorus, and Quorus, Newport’s first and only LGBTQIA+ chorus. Special guests from the Community Sing program will also join the concert.
The program will include light-themed songs from the Youth Chorus Prep Chorus, a variety of selections from the Aquidneck Singers ranging from folk songs to Gospel, and familiar favorites from Quorus. The concert will conclude with a festive audience singalong.
There are no advance tickets; a suggested donation of $20 per person or $40 per family will be accepted at the door. Donations may be made by credit card, cash or check, and are tax-deductible. Proceeds support new and expanding Newport Sings programs.
Calvary United Methodist Church is wheelchair accessible. For more information about the concert, including how to donate ahead of time, please visit www.newportsings.org/events.
