I endorse Mark Aramli for At-Large City Councillor. I have seen him address thorny, polarizing issues with compassion, courage and directness. Doing the right thing seems more important to him than doing the thing that gets him more votes. When others suggest having repetitive forums, fact finding, or commission reports, he is ready to act when the information is available, even if is difficult. This is the kind of leadership that makes me trust Newport – when our Councillors will absorb information about our city’s choices, and act upon them when the wiset path forward is clear.
