Art enthusiasts and community members are invited to a free event, “Norman Rockwell Remembered,” at the Tiverton Public Library (34 Roosevelt Avenue) on Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 pm.

The program, presented by Jill Sanford of Art for Your Mind LLC, will offer an engaging and educational exploration of the beloved American artist Norman Rockwell. Sanford, a local art historian, will guide attendees through a selection of Rockwell’s famous illustrations and lesser-known works, revealing the stories behind his artistic choices and inspirations.

“Norman Rockwell Remembered” aims to deepen the appreciation of Rockwell’s art by highlighting the complexity and cleverness embedded within his paintings. Participants will have the opportunity to examine familiar and surprising Rockwell images, gaining a new understanding of his contribution to American art history.

The event is free and open to the public, designed for individuals of all backgrounds, whether art enthusiasts or not.

About the Presenter: Jill Sanford, creator and primary presenter of Art For Your Mind programs, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. With over 20 years of experience in art enrichment, Sanford is passionate about making art history and appreciation accessible and enjoyable for all ages.
