Newport’s Island Cemetery is bringing history to life on October 5 with the Dirty Blue Shirts (DBS) return for an interactive event.

Visitors can step back in time as they meet and chat with some of the cemetery’s most interesting former residents. DBS members will be dressed in authentic period clothing, ready to share fascinating stories from the past.

Tours kick off at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m., allowing everyone to join in on the fun.

The 90-minute experience wraps up in the beautifully restored Belmont Chapel.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Tickets are available here.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate and there’s heavy rain, don’t worry – the entire event will move inside the Belmont Chapel.
