BankNewport has appointed Daniel Tougas as vice president and branch manager of its Newport location at 10 Washington Square. Tougas is now responsible for overseeing branch operations, customer service, and team development at the bank’s flagship office.

Tougas, who joined BankNewport in 2017, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He previously served as vice president and branch manager of the bank’s Stone Bridge office in Tiverton.

The promotion reflects BankNewport’s commitment to fostering talent within its ranks and ensuring strong leadership across its 19 branch locations.

Tougas holds a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College and resides in East Providence, R.I.
