Today, Representative Seth Magaziner announced that he has filed for reelection in the 2024 race to represent Rhode Island’s 2nd Congressional district.

“As the Representative for Rhode Island’s Second Congressional District, I have been laser focused on fighting for the middle class and those working hard to join it. I have stood up to the extremists in Washington who are trying to turn back the clock on voting rights, on democracy, on women’s rights, on workers’ rights – and this fight isn’t over,” said Representative Magaziner. “Today I am announcing my campaign for re-election because the stakes are high and we need Rhode Island values in Washington now more than ever.”

According to the announcement, “Magaziner ran for Congress in 2022 to fight for working people and protect the fundamental rights of all Americans, and since day one in office, he has been hard at work delivering and advocating for Rhode Islanders. He is fighting to protect Social Security and Medicare, cut costs for working people, make prescription drugs more affordable, protect and expand the Affordable Care Act, ban Members of Congress from trading stocks, enact common-sense gun safety legislation, and defend women’s right to get an abortion”.
