The Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra (NaBSCO) will present its spring concert at East Providence High School on April 28, 2024.

The concert begins with two choral tone poems by Johannes Brahms, also known as the Song of Destiny and the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice. The poems are set against a lush harmonic backdrop by the orchestra and chorus.

The NaBSCO will then perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, also known as the Fate Symphony. The piece is considered to be one of the most influential works in classical music, and is known for its opening four note motif that symbolizes fate.

The concert will conclude with a collection of choral music pieces, including some by Johannes Brahms and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Admission to the event is donations welcome, and all are asked to give what they can to support the RI Community Food Bank.
