For more than 30 years, Fan was a school psychologist in the public school system of Barrington, RI where she resided for over 50 years. She enjoyed many outdoor activities including tennis, golf and skiiing – and most of all, a walk on the beach in Newport and Little Compton. She was an avid reader and a masterful crossword puzzle enthusiast.
Fan is survived by three sons (Gordon Benjamin III of Jamestown, RI, David Benjamin and his wife Andrea of Windermere, FL and Lawrence Benjamin and his wife Margaret of Lake Forest, IL) and a daughter (Mary Wray and her husband Edward of Portsmouth, RI). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial celebration of Fan’s life, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at Blithewold, 101 Ferry Road (Rte 114), Bristol, RI.
