Davies Career and Technical High School beat Middletown 22-6 on Friday night at Gaudet Field, spoiling the Islanders’ homecoming game.

Davies sophomore Sam Waterman scored two touchdowns, and freshman running back Rocco Gentilella controlled the ground game throughout and added a touchdown of his own.

Middletown senior quarterback Kyle Keefe completed roughly 10 of 22 passes for about 150 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions, and added around 20 rushing yards for more than 175 total, according to unofficial statistics. His touchdown pass went to senior tight end Vincent Cavalieri, who caught four or five passes for about 80 yards.

Senior Ty Butler led the Islanders defensively with three tackles for loss and a sack.
