The Newport Historical Society will offer two of their most popular walking tours during the upcoming Martin Luther King holiday weekend, January 14-15, 2017.

See where scoundrels lived, pirates profited and criminals were punished. Find out why this colony was known as “Rogues Island.”

Discover Colonial Newport
Hear stories of remarkable entrepreneurship, African American heritage and religious diversity during Newport’s colonial period.
Tours cost $15 per person, $10 for Newport Historical Society members and for active duty military with ID, $5 for children ages 12 and under. To make reservations call the Brick Market Museum & Shop at 401-841-8770.
Tours depart, weather permitting, from the historic Brick Market at 127 Thames Street located at the foot of Washington Square in Newport.
