Salve Regina University’s Ochre Court opens the fourth season of HBO’s “The Gilded Age,” which premiered Sunday on HBO Max.
The season’s first scenes are set in the mansion, which portrays Sidmouth Castle — the home of Hector, Duke of Buckingham, and his new wife, Gladys Russell.

Ochre Court, designed by Gilded Age architect Richard Morris Hunt, sits at the center of Salve’s oceanside campus and is one of several Newport buildings featured in the series.
Three Salve students and an alumna appear as background actors in period costume this season: Daniel Currier, a junior theatre arts major; Kendra Obrycki, a senior psychology major; Cayden Ratineri, a sophomore finance major; and alumna Grace Gallagher.
Created by Julian Fellowes, “The Gilded Age” is a co-production of HBO and Universal Television. The Season 4 cast includes Christine Baranski, Denée Benton, Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector and Cynthia Nixon.
The season is streaming on HBO Max.
