The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center will hold a karaoke competition on Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Each singer performs one song for the judges, with a second song prepared in case of a tiebreaker. First place wins a prize. Sing Your Heart Out Co. will emcee.

The event is free, but only 20 competition spots are available. Register by calling 401-846-4828, ext. 124, or emailing epatel@mlkccenter.org.

Anyone who would rather not sing is welcome to come cheer, with snacks provided. The center is at 20 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Blvd.; use the Edward Street entrance.
