Operation Encore Brings Veteran Songwriters Logan Vath and Stephen Covell to Jamestown Arts Center

A pair of veteran singer-songwriters will make a stop at the Jamestown Arts Center on Thursday, July 23, just days before taking the stage at the Newport Folk Festival that Sunday.

Logan Vath and Stephen Covell, both musicians supported by Operation Encore — a nonprofit that helps veteran and active-duty musicians advance their careers — will perform starting at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include a complimentary whiskey drink courtesy of Winglore Spirits Co.

Covell is a former Army combat medic and classically trained vocalist whose songwriting draws on his background in piano, guitar, and vocal performance. Vath, a Navy veteran from Norfolk, Virginia, is an award-winning singer-songwriter known for intricate lyrics and evocative storytelling.
