NEWPORT, R.I. – Ryan Pearl of Hamden, Conn., and Chantalle Schultz Rathbun of St. Petersburg, Fla., claimed the top spots at the 2026 Newport Beer Run on Saturday at Fort Adams State Park, leading a field of 974 finishers through the 5K before celebrating with 40 breweries at the post-race festival.

Formerly known as the Craft Brew Races, the Newport Beer Run combines a timed 5K with a three-hour beer festival on the grounds of Fort Adams.

Pearl crossed first overall with a time of 15:45, averaging a 4:47 mile. Shawn Piper of Middletown finished second in 15:59, and Ross Macandrew of East Greenwich was third in 16:06.

On the women’s side, Schultz Rathbun won in 18:18, good for 19th overall. Samantha Roy of Quincy, Mass., was second among women in 19:49, finishing 30th overall.

The top team was Just One. A total of 1,150 people attended the festival.
