Rhode Island Beer Club has partnered with Foolproof Brewing Company to create Honey Hound, a limited-edition Honey Kölsch benefiting the Providence Animal Rescue League.
The beer will debut Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Foolproof Brewing Company in Pawtucket, with a portion of every pint and can sold supporting the rescue league’s mission to rescue and support animals and their families. The collaboration builds on the success of Rhode Island Beer Club’s first charity beer.
“Rhode Island Beer Club has always been about bringing people together. Craft beer is what gets us in the room, but it’s the friendships, the conversations, and the opportunity to support organizations doing incredible work that keep people coming back,” said Shannon Salisbury, founder of Rhode Island Beer Club. “We hope people come out, enjoy a great beer, meet someone new, and leave knowing they helped support PARL and were part of something bigger than just another beer release.”
Named in honor of the animals the rescue league serves, Honey Hound is described as a refreshing Honey Kölsch with a light body and a touch of honey sweetness. It will be available exclusively at Foolproof Brewing Company beginning Aug. 1 while supplies last, with the release party also featuring raffles and giveaways.
Founded in 2012, Foolproof Brewing Company is based in Pawtucket and expanded into Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 2024. Founded in 1913, the Providence Animal Rescue League is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and supporting animals through sheltering, adoption services, veterinary care and community programs. Rhode Island Beer Club, founded in 2021, is a community of craft beer enthusiasts that explores the state’s independent breweries while supporting local causes.
