Seastreak’s seasonal ferry service between Providence and Newport returns Friday, June 12, with multiple trips daily and weekend service to Bristol, the company announced.

The one-hour route, run in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, offers passengers views of lighthouses, the Newport Pell Bridge and the Providence port. Adult fares start at $12 one-way and $24 round trip, with $6 one-way fares for children, seniors and qualifying riders, and free travel for infants.

Boarding locations are at 25 India Street in Providence and Perrotti Park in Newport. The vessels include a full galley serving snacks, soft drinks and adult beverages. All boats are ADA compliant, the ferry is dog-friendly, and a limited number of bicycles are welcome onboard free of charge.

Seastreak President James D. Barker thanked RIDOT for the partnership and said the company looks forward to another season connecting the two cities. Fare information and schedules are available on Seastreak’s website.
