The Newport Polo Foundation has announced the five beneficiaries of its 25th annual charity gala, a Great Gatsby-themed affair set for Friday, July 31, at Rosecliff Mansion on Bellevue Avenue.

This year’s proceeds will benefit World Pediatrics, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County, TeamFAME, the Newport Historical Society and FabNewport, all organizations focused on child and youth initiatives. The Jazz Age-themed event, presented by BD with team support from Vanderbilt International Properties, will feature a live auction of exclusive lots launched online ahead of the gala.

“This year’s fundraising efforts will support meaningful initiatives advancing health and opportunity for future generations, both locally and beyond,” said gala ambassadors Meg Stowe and Laurel Howe. “We invite guests to raise their paddles in the spirit of generosity and championing the next generation.”

Over more than two decades, the event has helped raise more than $2.3 million for nonprofit initiatives. The beneficiaries span a range of causes: World Pediatrics provides pediatric medical care globally; the Newport Historical Society’s Kids on the Water program teaches students sailing, navigation and maritime history; FabNewport offers hands-on learning and workforce pathways for young people; TeamFAME provides tennis and education programming for underserved youth through the International Tennis Hall of Fame; and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County supports young people’s academic, physical and social development.

Tickets for the white-tie gala are sold out. The event anchors a polo weekend that includes a preparty, afterparty, the annual Lobsterfest, and a Diamond Jubilee polo match the following day in the Newport International Polo Series, featuring Newport against a top New England rival in the finals of the USPA Governor’s Cup.

The online auction and donations are available at newportpolo.com. Newport Polo, established in 1876, is the home of America’s first polo club.
