Newport Little League will hold its 2026 annual fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 14 at O’Brien’s Pub, 501 Thames St., with tickets priced at $20 and including a drink and light appetizers.
The event, which is open to all guests 21 and older, will also feature a raffle and silent auction. O’Brien’s Pub is the host sponsor.
For generations, Newport Little League has served local families, offering T-ball, baseball and softball to nearly 200 boys and girls ages 4 to 12. Funds raised support registration assistance for families in need, college scholarships for Rogers High School graduates who played in the league and ongoing field maintenance.
This year’s fundraiser carries added urgency following a difficult 2025 season. A burglary at the league’s Goldberg concession stand and a fire at its Braga Park stand created unexpected financial setbacks for the volunteer-run organization.
