A custom home on the corner of Gibbs Avenue and Old Beach Road has sold for $5.7 million, making it the third-highest residential sale in Newport so far this year, according to data from the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service.
Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty announced the sale of 381 Gibbs Ave. on Monday. Grace Cimo McCluskey of Gustave White represented the seller, and Kylie McCollough and Jennifer Crellin of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyers.
Built roughly 18 years ago, the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bath residence spans more than 5,400 square feet. The property offers second-floor water views, an elevator shaft, all en-suite bedrooms and close proximity to both Easton’s Beach and the Cliff Walk. Additional features include a two-car garage and room for a pool. The home was conveyed fully furnished, with custom high-end interiors by Taste Design Inc.
“This was a special property that offered both quality craftsmanship and an exceptional location near the beach and Cliff Walk,” McCluskey said. “Turnkey homes at this level continue to generate strong interest, especially as we move into the spring market.”
