Middletown put on a show Friday night in the island rivalry matchup, defeating Rogers 5-0 at Toppa Field.

The Islanders controlled the ball and scored three goals in the first half to lead 3-0. Nikolas DeSouza and Avery Soderberg each scored two goals to lead Middletown. Julian Peckham added one goal to end the night.

Middletown had 28 shots on goal in the victory. Rogers managed eight shots on goal in the loss.

Middletown goalkeeper Orlando Valentin made four saves in the win. Rogers goalkeeper Angel Brito had five saves.
