Lincoln High School’s boys soccer team put on an offensive clinic Tuesday night, defeating Tiverton 6-0 in a dominant road performance that showcased the Lions’ depth and attacking prowess.
Mason DiDomenico led Lincoln’s balanced scoring attack with two goals, while teammates Connor Johnson, Tre Baker, Charles Eltz, Brendan Carranza and Pyetro Wohlenberg also found the back of the net according to the game’s score sheet. The Lions peppered Tiverton’s goal with 23 shots, overwhelming the Tigers’ defense throughout the contest.
Despite the final score, Tiverton goalkeeper Brody Gauch kept his team competitive with five saves. The netminder faced constant pressure from Lincoln’s attack but stood tall between the posts for coach Tom Murray’s squad. The Tigers managed nine shots on goal but couldn’t find the back of the net against Lincoln’s defense.
Lincoln, coached by Frank Balcarcel with assistant Tyler LaFountain, controlled possession and created numerous scoring opportunities. The victory demonstrates the Lions’ offensive firepower as multiple players contributed to the comprehensive team win.
