🚨 You need to know
Troy Ramey, a Newport native and Rogers High School alum, is set to perform a sold-out show tonight at the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center in his hometown.
The singer-songwriter, who gained national recognition on NBC’s “The Voice,” will treat the audience to an intimate concert featuring his original songs and the stories behind them.
Ramey has made a name for himself in the folk, Americana, and heartland country music scenes. His soulful voice and emotional performances have helped him rack up over 25 million Spotify streams and land a spot on the “Love Island Allstars” soundtrack.
The concert starts at 8 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier. It’s general admission seating, so arriving early is a good idea if you want the best spots.
Ramey’s popularity is on the rise, with his last 14 shows selling out weeks in advance. His music draws comparisons to artists like Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, and Zach Bryan. His underground hit “Woman” has become a popular choice for weddings.
This Newport performance is a homecoming for Ramey, who’s been making waves nationally since his appearance on “The Voice.” During his time on the show, he turned all four judges’ chairs and even moved Celine Dion to tears with his performance.
