One-on-One Tech Help

Tech help is available to everyone, regardless of your skill level. Come with specific questions or we can just chat. There is no such thing as a stupid question. Call 401-625-6796 ext. 8 or visit https://tivertonlibrary.org to make an appointment.

Crochet Club

Join us in the Learning Center as we learn to crochet! All skill levels welcome! Open to teens and adults.

Weekly Watercolor Group

Whether you are a seasoned pro or still learning, you are welcome to come and work on your own watercolor painting projects. This is not a class, but a space to paint and socialize with fellow enthusiasts. Must bring your own projects and supplies.

Craft Circle

Knitters, quilters, crafters – whatever you make, come craft with us in the Community Room on the first Wednesday of every month! Socialize with fellow crafters, get project ideas, and share tips and advice. Must bring your own projects and supplies.

Meditation: A Priority in Today’s World

With the fast-paced, stressful world we live in, taking time to practice meditation is more important than ever. Meditation is an effective tool for coping in challenging times and promoting overall wellness. Join Jim Rose, M. Ed, long-time meditator for this powerful workshop. There will be a chance to practice this time-tested technique and an opportunity for informative questions and answers.This program will be hosted live via Zoom. United Way 211 Van – A Free, Confidential Resource

The United Way 211 van will be in the parking lot of the Tiverton Public Library from 9:30am to 1:00pm on the second Friday of every month. 211 is a confidential service that can connect you with housing, food, affordable childcare, and much more. This month, we will meet to discuss There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak. All are welcome! Copies of the book to be discussed are available at the library for check-out.

Free Paper Shredding Event

Safely and securely clear out your old tax documents, files, and other sensitive materials at the library! Shred RI will be in the library parking lot on Saturday, June 14th, from 10:00am to 1:00pm to help you dispose of your documents (limit 2 boxes per vehicle). Papers will be shredded on site. Sponsored by the Town of Tiverton and Tiverton Library Services.

Sakonnet Writers Group

This is a drop-in, prompt-driven writing group that supports writers of all levels. Membership is free, open to the public, and is appropriate for writers aged 18 and older. We look forward to sharing stories with you!

This month, we will watch and discuss Back Beat (1994, Rated R, 1h, 40 min). A dramatization of the Hamburg, Germany phase of The Beatles’ early history. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Presented in partnership with the Tiverton Arts Council.

Cross Stitching Group

Adult Crafternoon: Puzzle Piece Initial Art

Join us once a month for some fun and creativity! This month, we will play with our summer theme “Level Up at Your Library” and turn puzzle pieces and your first or last initial into a piece of art. Space and materials are limited. Please register to reserve your spot.
