Gallery Sitka and Newport Wine Cellar & Gourmet are joining forces to host a “Summer Solstice” art show and wine tasting on June 13 in Newport, R.I.
The event is part of the monthly “2nd Fridays/All You Need is Art & Wine” series and runs from 4:30-6 p.m. at The Tasting Room next to Newport Wine Cellar & Gourmet’s main store on 5 Merton Road.
Gallery Sitka, which has a permanent spot at The Tasting Room, is showcasing contemporary art from its lineup of over 20 artists from New England, New York, France, Italy, and Brazil.
The free event lets visitors check out The Tasting Room’s selection of artisanal wines and specialty foods. They’ve also added some home decor items, including Mid-Century Modern pieces, which will be on display and for sale.
Local artists can submit their work for future shows at The Tasting Room through Gallery Sitka’s website.
The “Summer Solstice” exhibit will be up until July 10.
Gallery Sitka is a woman-owned and run art business with galleries in Newport, and Shirley, Mass. They also do pop-ups around the Northeast.
