The Heritage Restaurant Group today (April 17) announced it has completed the acquisition of Flo’s Clam Shack.
The sale was initially announced late last year.
“We are pleased to announce the successful closing of this acquisition,” said Michael Anderson, spokesperson for The Heritage Restaurant Group. “As we officially welcome Flo’s Clam Shack into our family of restaurants, we reaffirm our commitment to maintaining its distinctive character, exceptional seafood offerings, and the unique coastal experience that has made it a Rhode Island institution.”
Under Heritage Restaurant Group’s management, “Flo’s will maintain its commitment to locally sourced seafood while benefiting from enhanced operational systems. The company has confirmed that all current staff will be retained as operations continue seamlessly under the new ownership”.
“Our approach has always been one of respectful preservation,” Anderson added. “With the transaction now complete, guests can look forward to the same exceptional quality and character they’ve always cherished at Flo’s, with some thoughtful enhancements planned for the future.”
The Heritage Restaurant Group says that both Middletown and Portsmouth locations will continue normal operations with no interruption in service. Additionally, The Heritage Restaurant Group says that it will be retaining all staff of both locations including Komes Rozes as Flo’s starts its next chapter under new leadership.
The Heritage Restaurant Group’s portfolio of restaurants, and businesses through Heritage Hotel Group and Audrain Hospitality, now includes A Mano Pizza & Gelato, Audrain Automobile Museum, Audrain Motorsports Clubhouse, Audrain Park Place, Brick Alley Pub, Caleb & Broad, Cluck House, Cluck Truck, Copper Club, Easton’s Beach Concessions, Flo’s Clam Shack, Hilltop Inn, La Costa Lobster Rolls and Tacos, La Forge Casino Restaurant, Newport Craft Brewing, Newport Lobster Company, Old Canteen, Olneyville New York System, The Red Parrot, The Reef, Vanderbilt hotel, Wally’s Wieners, and Wiener Wagon.
