Heritage Restaurant Group, also known as Audrain Hospitality, has added Flo’s Clam Shack to its growing list of establishments.
Flo’s Clam Shack’s confirmed the news on its Facebook page on November 5. The post praised Heritage as “the ONLY group that wanted to preserve Flo’s for what it is and not another HOTEL site!”
Heritage Restaurant Group and Audrain Hospitality Group also own Audrain Automobile Museum, Audrain Motorsport Clubhouse, Audrain Park Place, Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant, Cluck House, Copper Club, Hilltop Inn, La Forge Casino Restaurant, Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling, Newport Lobster Company, Red Parrot Restaurant, and Wally Weiner’s.
They’ve also got their hands in the food truck business throughout Newport and via Easton’s Beach Concessions, running A Mano Pizza & Gelato, La Costa Lobster & Tacos, Cluck Truck, and the Wiener Wagon.
Heritage Restaurant Group and Audrain Hospitality haven’t responded to requests for comment. What’sUpNewp has been trying to get in touch with the group for months but keep getting left out of media communications.
The Facebook post hints at more information coming soon about the acquisition and what’s next for Flo’s Clam Shack. Fans of the iconic eatery will have to stay tuned for updates.
