St. Columba’s Chapel in Middletown is set to host RPM Voices of Rhode Island as part of its Concert Series on March 30, 2025. The performance, featuring traditional African American choral music, will begin at 3 p.m. in the Chapel’s Parish Hall.

RPM (Reaching People Through Music) Voices of Rhode Island has been preserving and performing African American choral traditions for 22 years.

The group is led by Frances-Elayne Johnson, who serves as Minister of Music at Beneficent Church in Providence and directs the Voices of Unity at Mt. Zion AME Church in Newport.

Tickets are available at the door, priced at $20 for adults and $10 for students and children. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted, and there’s no need to make reservations.

After the concert, guests can mingle with the performers at a reception.

The St. Columba’s Concert Series typically features four to five concerts each year.
