The Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra (NaBSCO) is gearing up for its Winter Concert on March 2, 2025. The performance kicks off at 3 p.m. in the East Greenwich High School auditorium.

Luis Viquez will take the baton as guest conductor, leading the orchestra through a diverse program featuring Cuban, Polish, and Russian composers.

The concert opens with “Un Danzón a Mi Manera” by Cuban composer Dr. Ivette Herryman Rodríguez. Pianist Gideon Rubin joins as a special guest to perform Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor. To wrap things up, the orchestra will play Sergei Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 7 in C sharp minor.

NaBSCO has a unique “Pay what you think is fair” policy for admission. You can pay at the door or grab tickets online at www.nabsco.org. The orchestra also encourages concert-goers to bring non-perishable food items to support the RI Community Food Bank.

Looking ahead, NaBSCO has two more concerts lined up for the 2024-2025 season. There’s a Chamber Music Concert on April 6, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the Central Congregational Church in Providence. The season wraps up on June 8, 2025, with a 3 p.m. performance at the East Providence High School auditorium.
