The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County (ACA) is offering a tour of the historic Robinson House on February 15, 2025, at 10 a.m. This event is part of the ACA’s “Arts Behind the Scenes” series and gives visitors a chance to explore the 1759 home on Washington Street in Newport.

A current resident will guide the tour, sharing insights about how the property has grown and changed over its 266-year history. Visitors will learn about the house’s architectural evolution, including an addition designed by Charles McKim of the famous McKim, Mead, and White firm.

The ACA notes that this Washington Street home is easy to spot from both land and sea.

Space is limited for the tour, so anyone interested needs to sign up ahead of time using an online form. To register go to:  https://forms.gle/64nf7a6XmYWP8Bpu6

The ACA, a nonprofit started in 1994, works to boost arts and culture in Newport County. They run various events, create networking opportunities, and support their artist members throughout the year.

The organization says its goal is to connect creative and cultural contributors with the people of Newport County.
