The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Newport County is gearing up for its “Arts Around the Fire” networking event on January 22, 2025. This time, they’re featuring Ashley Householder, who runs The Sailing Museum, as their special guest.
If you’re interested, just show up at Sardella’s Restaurant in Newport between 6 and 8 p.m. It’s free and open to everyone – no need to RSVP.
Householder plans to talk about what’s happening at The Sailing Museum and explore ways to team up with Newport’s cultural scene. The museum, which includes the National Sailing Hall of Fame, is housed in the old Newport Armory on Thames Street.
“Arts Around the Fire” is a great chance for creative types – artists, writers, performers – and art lovers to connect. It’s a place to chat about what’s going on in the local cultural world and discover new artistic projects.
The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Newport County, a nonprofit that’s been around since 1994, is all about boosting arts and culture in Newport County. They believe it makes the community better for everyone.
The Alliance puts on events, creates networking opportunities, and backs its artist members. They’re working to bridge the gap between creative folks and the wider Newport County community.
Want to get involved? You can sign up as an artist member or support the Alliance as a regular member. Check out www.newportarts.org for more details.
