Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty has just set a new record in Portsmouth for 2024. A property at 483 Vanderbilt Lane has sold for $4,950,000, making it not only the highest sale of the year but also the most expensive non-waterfront property ever sold in the area.
The deal was handled by two of the firm’s Sales Associates: Kylie McCollough, who represented the sellers, and Nicole Carstensen, who worked with the buyers.
This newly built Nantucket-style home sits on nearly an acre of land next to open space. It’s packed with features including a spacious kitchen, a wellness area complete with a home gym, infrared sauna, and cold plunge. Outside, the new owners can enjoy a saltwater pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen.

McCollough, who currently leads in sales volume for individual agents in Portsmouth this year, is excited about the sale. “I’m thrilled to set another record for the neighborhood,” she says. “I’m committed to raising the bar and showing what’s possible in this amazing community.”
Carstensen is equally pleased about helping her clients move to Rhode Island. “This new home is beautifully designed with great water views and outdoor space,” she notes. “Having a good buyer’s agent is key to finding the perfect home.”
