We need David Quiroa as State Senator for Newport and Jamestown.  A 36-year resident of Newport who has raised five children here, David and his family are active communicants of St. Joseph’s Church. David began his career navigating the hospitality industry in Newport at beloved local establishments such as the White Horse Tavern, The Black Pearl, and Sardella’s, as well as the New York Yacht Club, a journey that has entrenched him here as a staple of the community who knows the issues that face the residents of this city.  With a priority to reach the Latino community, David has dedicated his career to human services, having served as the Retired Senior Volunteer Program Director and then in his current position as the Assistant Director of Senior Services for the city of Cranston, RI so far for a total of 20 years and counting.  David also led the Food Security Program for most of the state of RI during the Covid-19 pandemic, serving 5,000 meals a week to homebound seniors.  His dedication to his community and vast experience as a leader, samaritan, and humanitarian consultant put him far above and beyond his opponent.  We need local based representatives who are going to work for the people and families of Newport and Jamestown, and David Quiroa will bring sound decision-making and integrity of service to the State Senate for the people of this community.  As the Chairwoman of the Newport Republican City Committee, I endorse David Quiroa for State Senate in District 13.

Signed,

Tara Higgins

Chair, Newport Republican City Committee
