Artists’ Open Studios returns to Jamestown on Saturday, August 3, from 10 am to 5 pm. Hosted by the Jamestown Arts Center (JAC), the annual event is a one-day, island-wide event in which participating artists invite the public into their studios.
This year, over 30 artists across the island are participating, as well as groups of artists with pop-up displays at Out of the Box Studio & Gallery (11 Clinton Ave.) and the JAC (18 Valley St.).Â
JAC Executive Director Christine Cocca shares her excitement about the event: “This artist-led day has become a summer favorite for the island and the JAC. It allows local artists to connect directly with their neighbors and the public, giving visitors a rare opportunity to engage personally with artists. We are fortunate to live in such a creative community, surrounded by talented individuals who generously share their work and passion.”Participating artists and studios include: Jillian Barber, Lisa Barsumian, Shirley Bell, Ellen Bulger, Rosemary Burns, Rose Chase, Clancy Designs Glass Studio, Diane Damle, Peter Diepenbrock, Genevieve Dupre, Wooley Dutton, Peter Flood, Martin Keen, Deb Lichtenstein, Elizabeth Lind, Susan Mailloux, Jack Martinez, Carrie Mitchell Kolb, Becky Olien, Sarah Oesting, Tory Reiff, Didi Suydam, Alexi Sarah Widoff, Ernie Wullf, and artists from Out of the Box Studio & Gallery.

Printed maps will be available at the JAC by Wednesday, July 31. A digital map is available on the JAC’s website: jamestownartcenter.org/events/open-studios. It provides full details on participating artists, their studio locations, hours, and turn-by-turn directions. The event is free and open to all. No reservations are required.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled to Sunday, August 4, from 10 am–5 pm.
