The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will run a Sunday/holiday service schedule on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. This schedule will apply to all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys operating in Rhode Island.

RIPTA offices will be closed on Juneteenth, with the exception of the RIDE Paratransit Office and the Customer Service Kiosk located in the Newport Transportation Center. However, the RIDE Paratransit Program will still operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Flex Services will also not be available on Juneteenth, with the exception of Route 203 which will operate on the Sunday schedule from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Flex Service reservation line will also not be staffed on this holiday.

Anyone needing additional information on holiday schedules or other RIPTA services can call 781-9400 or visit RIPTA.com. Additional updates can also be found on the RIPTA website at www.ripta.com.
