The Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Conexion Latina will host a Financial Aid Information Session for students at Conexion Latina (170 Broadway, Newport) on Thursday, March 21.

The event, which will take place from 3 to 6 p.m., is part of the City of Newport’s Learn 365 initiative to increase Rogers High School students’ FAFSA completion rates.

Rhode Island allows undocumented and DACA students to qualify for in-state tuition and state-based financial aid, including the Rhode Island Promise scholarship, which provides two years free at CCRI for graduating high school seniors. Undocumented and DACA students are required to file the “Alternative FAFSA” to be eligible for state aid, regardless of immigration status.
