An annual tradition, Winterfest Story Time at The Breakers Stable & Carriage House, returns February 19-23 to celebrate the winter season.

Families can listen to a winter-themed story, participate in craft projects, and view the historic carriages on display.

Each program is from 10:30 a.m. to noon. A different children’s book will be read each day:

• Monday, February 19: “Ten Ways to Hear Snow” by Cathy Camper (SOLD OUT)

• Tuesday, February 20: “The Snowy Nap” by Jan Brett

• Wednesday, February 21: “The Tea Party in the Woods” by Akiko Miyakoshi

• Thursday, February 22: “Winter Dance” by Marion Dane Bauer

• Friday, February 23: “Winnie Loves Winter” by Tiffany Obeng

This program by The Preservation Society of Newport County is geared toward participants age 4 and older. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Register at www.newportmansions.org/events. The programs are free, but space is limited so advance registration is necessary. The Breakers Stable & Carriage House is located at 53 Coggeshall Ave., Newport.
