Bill Kitsilis, owner of Angelo’s Palace Pizza in Cumberland and Antonio’s Pizza by the Slice in several other locations, has been named to the National Restaurant Association Board of Directors.
Kitsilis, a graduate of Providence College and Boston College, began as an apprentice in the pizza industry at his parents’ restaurant. He later rose through the ranks to become a respected leader and advocate in the hospitality community, earning accolades for introducing a Greek menu at Angelo’s Palace Pizza and expanding Antonio’s Pizza by the Slice to new locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
In addition to his work on the RIHA Board of Directors, Kitsilis has also been involved in several other community activities. He was part of the “10% is Too Much” legislative campaign, which rallied support from more than 100 individuals. He has also served as a chairman for the RIHA Board of Directors in 2022 and 2023.
As a member of the National Restaurant Association Board of Directors, Kitsilis will be representing the interests of small restaurant owners across the country. He has consistently advocated for the rights of small business owners and has been a strong voice in advocating for the growth and success of the restaurant industry nationwide.
“RIHA looks forward to seeing Bill’s continued impact on the national stage, where his unique insights and tireless advocacy will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of the restaurant industry across the United States,” said Dale J. Venturini, President/CEO, RI Hospitality Association. “His appointment is not only a personal achievement but also a moment of pride for the entire Rhode Island hospitality community.”
