The RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) is proud to announce the appointment of Kingston, Rhode Island resident Jason Bjerk to its 2024 Board of Directors.

Jason Bjerk, General Manager at The Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina, has been appointed to the RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) Board of Directors.

Bjerk is a seasoned industry leader with expertise in both revenue generation and employee engagement.

Bjerk has also served as a Management Consultant during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic where he was instrumental in maintaining a 50% occupancy rate.

“Jason’s remarkable industry insight and forward-thinking approach position him as an exceptional addition to the 2024 Board of Directors,” said Dale J. Venturini, President/CEO, RI Hospitality Association (RIHA) and RI Hospitality Education Foundation. “We look forward to collaborating with our new board members to achieve our common goals, restore consumer confidence, and support and strengthen our businesses and workforce.”

A graduate of Florida International University and Kennesaw State University, Bjerk has held a number of leadership positions in a variety of areas of the hospitality industry. His career experience spans a range of roles, including General Manager, Turnaround Expert, and Management Consultant.
