The Jamestown Newport Ferry will launch its 2026 season on Saturday, May 16, kicking off the summer with its popular Hop-On Hop-Off service across Narragansett Bay.
The opening coincides with the Oyster & Chowder Festival at Bowen’s Wharf on May 16 and 17.
Hop-On Hop-Off service will operate daily through Oct. 12, with stops at Jamestown Village, Rose Island Lighthouse, Fort Adams State Park, Ann Street Pier and Perrotti Park. The route gives passengers the flexibility to explore the bay at their own pace.
Newport residents can ride the Hop-On Hop-Off Ferry at a discounted rate of $26 with proof of residency. Other ticket options include All-Day, One-Way and Season Passes, along with an Evening Special available after 4 p.m. daily, excluding festival days.
The ferry will also run express service to several major Newport events this season, including the Newport Folk Festival, Newport Jazz Festival, Newport International Boat Show and Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival. Modified schedules will be in effect during those events, and passengers are encouraged to check the website for the latest updates.
