Look for Newport, Middletown, and some of your favorite Aquidneck Island establishments on The Food Network‘s The Great Food Truck Race on Wednesday, December 18th!

The Great Food Truck Race, hosted by Tyler Florence, welcomes teams of brand new food truck operators as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

Season 11 of Great Food Trucks kicks off at 10 pm on Wednesday, November 27th. Leading up to its season finale in Newport and Middletown, the show visits Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Killington, Vermont.

The majority of the season finale was filmed at Newport Vineyards during a Aquidneck Growers’ Market on Saturday, March 9th. During filming , the show also visited Midtown Oyster Bar and Provencal Bakery.

Hundreds showed up at Newport Vineyards to see two food trucks, Big Stuff and Lia’s Lumpia, face off back in March, which is the season 11 finale of the popular food truck/reality show.

“We are so excited for the airing of The Great Food Truck Race Newport episode. Tyler Florence and the entire Food Network team were phenomenal to work with and brought such a great energy to the Vineyard that day”, Cassandra Earle, Director of Sales & Marketing for Newport Vineyards, told What’s Up Newp.

Because the show was scheduled to air in December, the show asked those who would be attendance back in March to dress up in their holiday attire.

The full synopsis for Season 11, Episode 4 – Holiday Hustle: New Champ in Newport states;

“Tyler Florence meets with the final two food truck teams at a bustling farmers market in Newport, R.I. They go head-to-head, serving the biggest crowds yet and facing the challenge of winter weather. One team will win a holiday prize of $50,000, and one team will go home with coal in their stockings”.

The episode will premiere on Wednesday, December 18th at 10 pm and will repeat on Thursday, December 19th at 1 am and on Sunday, December 22nd at 3 pm.

“The food truck teams worked non-stop to bring their creations to our patrons. We are looking forward to raising a glass of Newport Vineyards wine or Taproot Beer to the winning team!,” said Earle.
