At the Fort Adams Trust annual meeting held September 26th, the Trust unveiled the Frank S. Hale Award given in honor of Hale for his years of volunteerism and dedication to the preservation of Fort Adams and advancement of the Trust. Frank Hale was a founding member of the Fort Adams Foundation, founding Fort Adams Trust member and the Trust’s first Board President. He was recently posthumously recognized with the President’s Award. The Frank S. Hale award was presented to the Hale family at this year’s inaugural ceremony and will be bestowed annually to the Trust member that best demonstrates the values that Hale held for the fort.
“Frank Hale devoted innumerable hours every year to Fort Adams and the Trust ensuring a lasting legacy for others to enjoy and appreciate for decades,” stated Michele Berard, Director of Development, for the Fort Adams Trust. “Frank was a shining example of volunteerism and was held in the highest esteem by the Trust’s members, so it is only befitting that he be honored and others in his name year over year,” Berard further imparted.
Going forward, the Frank S. Hale Award will be presented at the Fort Adams Trust’s Annual Meeting.
