The City of Newport has announced the Summer Meals Program, that is scheduled to serve lunch Monday – Friday from June 24 – August 30th.

With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping our children healthy while school is out. The City of Newport provides free meals to children during the summer.
This summer, meals will be served at the following locations, dates and times. There are no income requirements or registration. Any child under age 18 may come to eat. For more information, contact Cindy King at (401) 842-1911.
You can come to the Summer Meals Kick-off Barbecue to learn more about the summer meals program and for a day of fun with your family. The State-wide Kick-off Barbecue will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Miantonomi Park, Hillside Avenue, Newport, Rhode Island. There is no cost to attend.
Each year, the US Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Newport Public Schools to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.
