Google to host a free ‘Grow with Google’ Workshop in Newport on Friday

Google’s ‘Grow with Google’ initiative aims to empower jobseekers and help small businesses thrive in the digital economy

Google will host a free ‘Grow with Google’ workshops in Newport tomorrow (May 31st) at 9:30 AM in the Newport Public Library. The tech company’s economic opportunity initiative aims to help job seekers and small businesses learn the digital skills they need to succeed through onsite instructional training led by visiting Google teams, presenters and coaches.

Grow with Google is on a national tour in partnership with America’s libraries. The tour will host digital skills workshops in libraries in all 50 states and will aim to support libraries’ digital skills offerings on an ongoing basis. Three quarters of public libraries assist patrons with job applications and interviewing skills, and 90% offer basic digital skills training.
