The following road and lane closure notices are effective for the week of May 4-10, 2019. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.

Overnight

Middletown: Rte. 138 North and South, from Coddington Hwy. to Turnpike Ave., watch for our crews in a moving operation for sweeping, Wed. night from midnight to 5 a.m.

Newport: Rte. 138 East and West at the Newport Bridge approaches, watch for our crews in a moving operation for sweeping, Wed. night from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Weekday

 Little Compton: Rte. 77 North and South, from Peckham Rd. to Mayland Rd., partial right lane closures in a moving operation for drainage work, Mon.-Fri. from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Middletown: Rte. 138A (Aquidneck Ave.) at Purgatory Rd., Crescent Rd. and Green End Ave., alternating lane closures for construction, Mon.-Fri. from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Middletown: Rte. 138 North, from Rego Rd. to Valley Rd., right lane closed for drainage work, Mon. and Tues. from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Tiverton: Rte. 24 North and South, just before and after the Main Rd. overpass, alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Wed. and Thurs. from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Rhode Island Turnpike & Bridge Authority

Newport Claiborne Pell Bridge – Eastbound Right Lane Closure- 5/6 to 5/10- 9 am to 3 pm

Jamestown Verrazzano Bridge – Eastbound Right Lane Closure- 5/6 to 5/10- 9 am to 3 pm.

Route 138 Connector – There are currently no Lane Closures on the Route 138 Connector.

Mount Hope Bridge – There are currently no Lane Closures on the Mount Hope Bridge.

Sakonnet River Bridge – There are currently no Lane Closures on the Sakonnet River Bridge.
