The City of Newport is reminding residents and business owners to take a moment to sign up for CodeRED in order to be notified by your local emergency response team in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts.
The City of Newport posted the following on their Facebook Page on Monday night.
“Have you signed up for Code Red yet?
In light of the ongoing gas outage, please be sure that you and your loved ones have signed up for our Code Red notification system”.
