1 – Olde Town Ghost Walk

2 – Carved In Stone
Saturdays in October at 4 pm
See interesting grave carvings, discover the final resting place of Newport’s famous and infamous souls and journey back to the early days of Newport, where the oldest known graves dates to 1672. The souls of the Common Burying Ground have been waiting to see you, some for 300 years! Professional Guides lead the tour which departs from Newport’s Visitors Center. 3 – Fortress of Nightmares
Fridays and Saturdays from October 12th – October 27th. 7 pm to 10 pm each night
Fortress of Nightmares returns to Fort Adams this October for its fourteenth season with new adventures and attractions. Fortress of Nightmares is the largest and last of the season fundraiser for the year that benefits the Fort Adams Trust. The haunted attraction features: “Tunnels of Terror, Mayhem in 3D, Paranormal 360 and this year’s newest attraction ‘Spirits Rising.” Tickets are $15 per person with participation in “Paranormal 360” an additional $7. 5 – Mystery At The Museum – Hail Mary
Saturday, October 20th at 7 pm
Mystery At The Museum will present Hail Mary – St. Mary’s Of Newport Homecoming 1956 at Newport Art Museum in October. About the show – Small liberal arts college, St. Mary’s of Newport, is having their Homecoming Dance and you’re invited! Step back to 1956 – Jocks, Greasers, Bobbysoxers, and Eggheads mingle to crown their Homecoming Royalty, but, things aren’t swell at all and when cliques collide, someone dies. 6 – Escape The Haunted House

7 – Mysteries of Night & Paranormal Investigation

The Newport Mystical Society presents a festive fall event at Newport Elks Lodge on October 27th. This is a mystical event with some of the area’s finest tarot card readers, mediums and energy workers. 8 – Haunted Tales on Rose Island
Sunday, October 28 from 3 pm to 6 pm
Head to Rose Island for a spooky evening of haunted tales on Sunday, October 28 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Registration includes a boat ride on the Rum Runner II departing at 3:00 PM from Bannister’s Wharf. Refreshments included. Don’t forget to dress warm! More Info
