Celebrate Summer with Norman Bird Sanctuary at the Beach Bash on Third Beach, August 2nd.

Local blues-rock band The Kohaug Allstars will be providing the lively tunes as guests enjoy complimentary wine, beer, lemonade and iced tea. Guests can pack their own beach picnic or choose from one of the delicious food vendors, including La Forge Casino Food Truck. For dessert, guests can gather around the fire for complimentary Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and s’mores.
“The Beach Bash allows the community to celebrate Norman Bird Sanctuary’s beloved Third Beach property while supporting its protection at the same time,” said Natasha Harrison, executive director in a press release this week, “We are delighted to welcome families to unwind and have fun by the water.”
Norman Bird Sanctuary Education Staff will be teaching kids how to seine for fish and other interesting sea creatures. Guests are encouraged to go for a sunset paddle with a complimentary kayak or paddleboard provided by Jamestown Outdoors.
The proceeds from the Beach Bash directly support Norman Bird Sanctuary’s mission to preserve and steward 325 acres of wildlife habitat, including a significant portion of Third Beach. Proceeds will also provide educational opportunities, including school field trip programs such as “Sea Life Safari” at the Coastal Education Center at Third Beach.
The event will from run 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Registration: $22 Members, $25 Non-members, $10 Under Age 21. Tickets are available online only, through July 26th or until sold out.
