The International Yacht Restoration School (IYRS) will host a Career Day on March 24th from 9 am to 1 pm at the IYRS campus on lower Thames Street in Newport.
Career Day is a free job and career-exploration fair that draws employers who come to this annual event with one goal in mind: to connect with individuals with the skills and aptitude for careers in the marine-trades and composites industries. This is a valuable opportunity to meet employers from throughout the region and learn about job opportunities and training programs.
A presentation on “Navigating Your Job Search” and guided tours of the IYRS facilities begin at 9 am; the career fair portion of the day begins at 9:30 am.
Career Day is hosted by IYRS and the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association, Composites Alliance of Rhode Island, and Polaris MEP.
Visit the event website at www.iyrscareerday.com for more information and a registration link.
